Step 1: Pick a meal plan
Meal planning can take a lot of time and effort but it doesn’t necessary have to. If you opt for a predefined meal plan, you can do it in just a few seconds. Let’s have a look at how Plantiful meal planning works and what benefits it can bring you.
To get started, navigate to our collection of plans and then, just pick one that best suits your needs. You can choose a plan based on its recipes or by taking into account your health and fitness goals.
Tip: If you are new to meal planning, get your feet wet with a three-day plan. Mindful Eating is a great starting point and one of my favorite plans from Plantiful.
Step 2: Schedule the meal plan
Once you settle on a meal plan, you are already half way there. Now is the time to think about how many people the meal plan addresses and when would you like to start. Whether you’re cooking for one or for an entire family, make sure you set the number of people before you start.
The number of people in the plan is of great importance and here’s why. All recipes in the meal plan as well as the shopping list is updated to reflect the number of servings to be cooked. This is especially useful when going shopping, knowing exactly what and how much to buy. In the long run you will waste less time, food and money!
Once you have selected the number of people and picked a start date for your plan, if you navigate to a recipe, you will notice that the ingredients have been adjusted to meet the number of servings. Ready to get cooking?
Step 3: Create your Shopping list
Well done, you’ve just scheduled a meal plan! Now is the time to prepare your shopping list.
With Plantiful, preparing the shopping list is the easiest step in planning your meals. All you have to do is to choose for which days in the plan you want to shop and you are done!
