- 2 cup, whole Hazelnuts
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp Hemp seeds, hulled
- 3 tbsp Water

Roast the hazelnuts
First up roast the hazelnuts. Preheat the oven to 165C (330F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the nuts on the baking sheet and roast them in the oven for 15 minutes, tossing halfway. Leave them cool down slightly. -
Prepare the dough
Transfer the roasted hazelnuts to a food processor and blend into a fine meal. Then, add the pitted dates, cocoa powder and hemp seeds. Mix to combine. Add water by the tablespoon, only as much as necessary for the mixture to form a dough that holds together. - Once well combined, scope out heaping 1 tbsp amounts and form small balls using your hands. Repeat until you have used up all the mixture.
- Optionally, roll in extra hemp seeds.
