Tips:

Leaving the skin on fruits and vegetables when juicing can have several benefits:

  1. More Nutrients: The skin of many fruits and vegetables contains a significant amount of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that are beneficial for health. By leaving the skin on when juicing, you can retain more of these nutrients in your juice.

  2. Fiber: Many fruits and vegetables are a good source of dietary fiber, which is important for digestive health. By leaving the skin on, you can include more fiber in your juice.

  3. Flavor: The skin of many fruits and vegetables contains flavor compounds that can enhance the taste of your juice.

However, it’s important to note that some fruits and vegetables may have tough or bitter skin that may not be pleasant to drink in juice form. Additionally, certain fruits and vegetables may have pesticide residues on the skin, so it’s important to choose organic produce or wash the produce thoroughly before juicing.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the veggies
Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly to remove any dirt. Cut all the ingredients to fit your juicer.
Tip: Peeling is not necessary. It’s a personal preference and depends on the type of produce. If you prefer to leave the skin on, like me, opt for organic produce. For this recipe I leave the skin on for all ingredients, even the lemon.\

  2. Make the juice
Next, run all ingredients through your juicer.
  3. To Serve
Stir the juice to combine and enjoy it immediately.
Tip: When you drink juice immediately after it’s made, you’re getting the maximum nutritional benefits from the fruits and vegetables. This is because the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes in the juice are still intact and haven’t had time to degrade. Fresh juice is also richer in flavor and has a more vibrant color compared to juice that has been stored.\

  4. To Store
If you need to store the juice, it’s best to keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume it within a day or so.
