Ingredients
oatmeal
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 2 medium apples cubed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup shelled walnuts
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cup soy milk any plant based milk
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 dash salt
To Serve
- 1/4 cup shelled walnuts
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Heat the coconut oil in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat.1 tsp coconut oil
- Add the apples cubes and sauté for 2 - 3 minutes. Then stir in the cinnamon and nutmeg.2 medium apples, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- Add the walnuts, plant based milk, maple syrup, rolled oats, chia seeds and a dash of salt. Stir to combine and let it cook for 5 minutes, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.
