  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 2 medium apples cubed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup shelled walnuts
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cup soy milk any plant based milk
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 dash salt

To Serve

  • 1/4 cup shelled walnuts
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup


  • Heat the coconut oil in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat.

  • Add the apples cubes and sauté for 2 - 3 minutes. Then stir in the cinnamon and nutmeg.

  • Add the walnuts, plant based milk, maple syrup, rolled oats, chia seeds and a dash of salt. Stir to combine and let it cook for 5 minutes, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid. Stir frequently.

  • Remove from heat and let it stand for two minutes. Serve hot with desired toppings.
